Privacy Policy

No sign-up, no contact details

Fortuday is free: no login, no payments and no ads. We never ask for or collect your name, email address or phone number.

Birthdays and family details stay on your device

The birth dates, zodiac animals and names you enter are saved in your browser on this device (localStorage), not in our database.

When you use them to filter dates, they are sent over an encrypted connection to our server to calculate that one result, then discarded. We do not store or log them.

Delete them on the Family page, or clear your browser’s site data, and they are gone for good.

Technical data we receive automatically

The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any website, our server receives your IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time; Cloudflare uses this to block attacks and keep the site running.

The site reads your browser’s time zone so the date shown as today, moon phases and moon signs follow your local time.

Analytics and cookies

We may use an analytics tool (such as Microsoft Clarity) to learn which pages help and where the site is hard to use. These tools use cookies or similar technology to collect anonymous browsing activity; they never include the birthdays you enter. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site still works.

The site also keeps its own anonymous visit records: country or region, the pages viewed, which site or search first brought you here, and how many family members you have saved on this device (only the number, in groups of 0, 1, 2, 3 or 4+; never names, birthdays or zodiac signs). To group visits from the same browser, it stores a cookie with a random ID and that first source for up to 13 months. Visitors from the EEA, the UK, Switzerland and a few nearby territories get no such cookie, and their visits are not recorded. These records hold no names, contact details or birthdays.

Calendar files, subscriptions and sharing

Calendar files (.ics) you download are saved on your phone or computer. A subscription link is read by your calendar app from time to time; it contains only the language, the activity and, for Moon days, your time zone, with no personal data.

Share links and images contain only the days and activity you picked, never birthdays or names.

We do not sell data

We do not sell or rent any data, and we do not use it for advertising. The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date above.
